Custom Tesla Model 3 light shows from any song
Model 3 owners love light shows because the low, sleek front makes the headlight choreography look sharp, and every Model 3 supports the Light Show feature in Toybox. With ilume you can make a custom Tesla Model 3 light show from any song you like — no downloads from forums, no waiting for someone else to make a show for your favorite track.
What the show does on a Model 3
A Model 3 show focuses on headlights, tail and brake lights, turn signals, mirror folds and the charge port, with a few trunk and window moves. The generator automatically matches the show to the Model 3 so you never get commands for features it lacks.
How it works
- Open the Studio and choose Model 3 as your vehicle.
- Upload a song. The beat is analyzed locally in your browser with the Web Audio API — your song is never uploaded.
- Pick a style or a seasonal preset (Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Valentine, July 4, birthday, wedding or summer).
- Watch the full show on a 3D Model 3 as often as you like — preview is free and unlimited.
- Export to USB for $9.99 ($5.99 with code HOLIDAYS) and get a ready-to-play FSEQ v2 file plus the audio.
Playing the show on your Model 3
- Format a USB drive as exFAT or FAT32.
- Unzip your ilume export to the root so the drive contains a
LightShowfolder withlightshow.fseqand the matching audio file (.wavor.mp3). - Make sure there is no
TeslaCamfolder at the root of the same drive. - Plug the drive into the car, open Toybox → Light Show, and start your show.

Safety: a light show can move closures — mirrors, the trunk or liftgate, the charge port and windows. Park somewhere with room around the car, keep people and objects clear of moving parts, and only run shows while parked.
Looking for something seasonal? Try a Christmas show or a Halloween show.
